Stephanie Lands

Like her mother before her, Stephanie has always carried a fondness for food thanks to the love of cooking she grew up around. Although a desire to explore the possibility of culinary school developed early on, Stephanie found herself drawn to people-management as she explored the workforce over the years. The bulk of her experience lies within the healthcare field where she continues to serve members and employees through advocating for better experiences for both. Although her career path deviated from culinary arts, her giftedness in the kitchen did not. Just as she developed as a leader, absorbing knowledge and expertise form those that inspired her, Stephanie also developed her skill as an at-home chef. Much of her inspiration comes from family, namely her mother whose “free yourself from the recipe” philosophy still shapes her cooking experience, encouraging her to trust instinct over process. She also gains inspiration from extended family and a number of renowned chefs, taking a bit of all into each dish.

Stephanie’s leadership and organizational skills translate from healthcare to the culinary world behind the scenes as well as inside the kitchen. Her focus on efficiency, process building/improvement, project management, and people management have served her well in leading teams, large and small. Her natural ability to serve and encourage those around her is the driving force behind her leadership style and passion for doing what she does in both fields of work.

“There are only two ways to influence human behavior: you can manipulate it or you can inspire it.”
